Racing Age:  42

Cycling Bio:  No question, I am the oldest member of The Elite Team.  I have more years of cycling/racing experience (20) than some our racers have breathing on this planet.  For some crazy reason I still enjoy racing the bike and putting myself through hours of pain and agony each year.  More than anything I love a really hard bike race……a super fast criterium or a grueling road race.  It is the adrenaline of surviving to the finish and seeing just how high I can finish or help my teammates finish that fuels my cycling passion.  Of course being involved with an incredible cycling team and riding on the best equipment (Clementine Bicycles and Boyd Wheels) makes it that much more enjoyable.

Notable Results:   My results are not littered with victories, but scores of Top 10 placings.  I am not the fastest sprinter or the best climber.  However, I do have a nose for the finish line and a great knack for knowing what it takes to cross it before most of my competitors.

No question Athens Twilight has been my favorite race over the years.  It is the best environment that I have ever witnessed for racing a bicycle other than at the Tour de France itself.  Another of my fondest memory of a huge bike race was competing in the San Francisco Gran Prix with the Pro Tour teams from Europe and the US on some of the steepest urban streets in America for 100 miles with throngs of crows lining the famous hills.   Fast or Slow, Pure Joy = Cycling!
